As a first-generation American, I’m here because of my family’s courageous sacrifice to build a better future in the United States. I’ve witnessed how access to education and dignified work can uplift immigrant families and create opportunities that carry across generations. That’s why I’m committed to helping other immigrant women build stability, dignity, and a future of their own.
Havenly is a nonprofit cafe in New Haven run by and for refugee and immigrant women. Havenly's fellowship program provides paid job training, English and financial literacy classes, and leadership development, helping refugee and immigrant women move from survival to self-sufficiency. Through this program, women gain the skills, confidence, and community they need to navigate uncertainty and stand on their own feet.
Right now, Havenly is raising funds to give 30 women facing unprecedented uncertainty the ability to stand on their feet and uplift themselves, their families, and their communities. Because you give, moms can start class, learn English, and land dignified jobs in the new year.
